Scholarship Recipient Announced for Global Changemakers Workshop in Poland

2024 Global Changemakers Workshop:

The Race to a Greener Future

We are delighted to announce that Shreya Singaraju, Aspen Institute NZ alumna, has been awarded a scholarship to attend the 2024 Global Changemakers Workshop in Warsaw, Poland. This year’s workshop, The Race to a Greener Future, will focus on environmental sustainability and the critical minerals sector, making Shreya an ideal recipient due to her background and professional interests.

As a software engineer in the firmware and devices space at EROAD, and a Computer Systems Engineering graduate from the University of Auckland, Shreya is focussed on exploring how technology and the transport sector contribute to environmental sustainability. She is interested in learning more about the challenges related to supply chains, critical minerals, and resource procurement for batteries and EV motors.

Running from December 12–15, 2024, the workshop brings together young leaders from around the globe to engage in philosophical discussions, policy roundtables, and collaborative exercises. Participants will explore the ethical, geopolitical, and economic dimensions of sustainability, while working collaboratively towards actionable commitments that drive positive change in their communities.

We extend our congratulations to Shreya and look forward to hearing about her experiences and insights after the workshop. Our sincere thanks to all of this year's applicants, and to the Aspen Institute in Washington D.C. for generously funding this scholarship opportunity.
