Strengthening New Zealand's place in the world
We bring together New Zealanders to explore the big questions shaping our future — and build the leadership our country needs to thrive. Whiria te tāngata.
A forum for forward thinking
The Aspen Institute New Zealand is a platform for non-partisan, values-based dialogue on the issues that matter most, both locally and globally. We bring together diverse voices across generations, sectors and cultures to explore the ideas and decisions shaping New Zealand's future.
Based in Queenstown, we are a non-profit organisation working across three areas. Global Affairs examines the economic, security and geopolitical questions defining New Zealand's place in the world. Critical Conversations focus on sharpening leadership thinking and provide opportunities to explore the defining questions of our time. Connected Communities builds understanding and relationships across sectors and generations.
Together, these programmes strengthen the leadership, decision-making, and strategic alignment New Zealand will rely on, as the world continues to shift at a rapid pace around us.
Join us in exploring ideas that inspire solutions for a better future.
A world of influential contacts
As part of an international network spanning 14 countries and over 600 employees, Aspen Institute New Zealand connects kiwis to the ideas, relationships and convening power of one of the world's most respected global leadership networks.
Each partner operates independently, with its own team on the ground. Together, we collaborate across borders - ensuring New Zealand’s voice is part of the global conversations that matter.
