The High Commission of India to New Zealand is hosting a high-level discussion on the new era of NZ-India business relations. This invitation-only event will bring together decision-makers from the government and business sector to explore opportunities for deeper economic cooperation, with opportunities for Q&A following each session.
Session One: Hon. Todd McClay will open the event with insights into the evolving trade relationship between our two nations with High Commissioner H.E. Neeta Bhushan.
Session Two: Crossroads of Innovation: Leveraging Mutual Strengths for Trade and Investment Growth, presented in partnership with the India New Zealand Business Council (INZBC) and moderated by Aspen Institute NZ CEO Christine Maiden Sharp.
This discussion will build upon the previous NZ - India forums held by the Aspen Institute NZ, exploring how we can apply NZ's skills and expertise to assist India, whilst also providing opportunities to strengthen and build long-term relationships between the two nations. Panellists include Justine Arroll, GM Trade Strategy, Fonterra, Peter Miskimmin, Head of Sport Diplomacy, SportNZ, Bharat Chawla, Chair INZBC, Chandan Ohri, CEO Duco Consultancy, John Allen, Export Sales Manager, Mr Apple.
Session Three: Synergies for Business in the Meat Industry, presented in collaboration with the Meat Industry Association NZ (MIA). Sirma Karapeeva, Chief Executive, MIA, will opens the panel discussion with panellists Julia Sekula, Head of Nutrition, Beef + Lamb New Zealand and Chetan Pangam, Executive Chef, One80° Restaurant and Beef + Lamb New Zealand Ambassador Chef.

Former Executive Director of the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Singapore and consultant with McKinsey & Company, Christine is the Founder and Chief Executive of the Aspen Institute in New Zealand.
After living and working in Asia, Australia, and the USA for much of her professional life, Christine was inspired to launch the initiative when she returned to Queenstown, New Zealand.
Outside of her professional endeavours, Christine enjoys staying active outdoors, whether playing tennis in the Queenstown Gardens, hiking up steep hills, or cycling on mountain trails alongside her husband Roger.
