Finding common ground
Our purpose is to deepen the conversation about the issues that matter to Aotearoa New Zealand – and foster remarkable leadership for our future. Whiria te tāngata.

A forum for forward thinking
The Aspen Institute New Zealand is a platform for inspiring bold ideas to tackle the most pressing challenges of our time. We bring together diverse perspectives – across generations, sectors, and cultures – to explore solutions that drive meaningful change.
Based in Queenstown, we are a non-profit organisation focussed on three key areas: Global Affairs, Critical Conversations, and Connected Communities. We run dynamic forums and thought-provoking seminars, that foster critical thinking and values-based leadership, both online and in-person.
As part of a globally influential network, we help New Zealanders engage with the world and each other - broadening perspectives, unlocking new possibilities, and strengthening communities through inclusive and non-partisan dialogue.
Join us in exploring ideas that inspire solutions for a better future - locally and globally.

Our mission is to foster remarkable leadership and global connection by sparking conversations that equip New Zealanders to drive change – at home and on the world stage.

A world of influential contacts
With over 600 employees spread across 14 countries, we offer unprecedented access to global resources and convening power of the Aspen Institute.
Each partner is independently financed and operated, with their own team on the ground. Together, we work collaboratively across borders, addressing global challenges and developing values-based leaders.
